I would love to travel to your area to teach! EmailALICE with any questions or to arrange a workshop with your guild or group. Dyeing workshops can be altered to be half-day (3-hour) workshops.

Hosting group must provide a classroom space with running water where the inevitable spills will not be a disaster. Each student needs 2-3 feet of table space, and several of the workshops find us spreading out onto the floor as well.

This 6-hour workshop is aimed at the beginner who wants to find out what the fuss over hand dyeing is about. During this class, you will learn the basics of color mixing as you dye a 12-step color wheel. You will dye another two yards during "playtime", which will be spent experimenting with color. ??????? Mystery Dyeing Workshop ???????

This 6-hour workshop has one prerequisite: dyeing experience, either on your own or in a classroom situation.

During this class, you will work with a single color to answer a list of "What happens when I... " questions.

The WHAT IF? questions involve the use of other colors, manipulation of fabric and other dyeing techniques.

CrossOver Colors Dyeing Workshop

You will explore the interaction of two colors as you dye six 1/2 yard pieces of fabric.

Different combinations of the three primary colors will be used by students.

This is a full-day (6-hour) workshop with afternoon PlayTime, where students get to PLAY with what they learned earlier. It can be shortened into a half-day workshop with the elimination of PlayTime.

Single Color Gradation Dyeing Workshop

Students will dye THREE 6-shade-single-color gradations, one each of fuschia, blue and yellow. Each color will use a different technique for the gradation, giving the student three options for later use in dyeing on their own.

This is a 6-hour workshop, with NO PlayTime.
