Commercial Wool and Wool Blend Yarn on Cones

If you want some unusual yarn, you've come to the right place! This yarn is produced and dyed commercially. I have included all the information available for these commercial yarns, including fiber content, maker, ply, etc. Weights are approximate as weighed on my kitchen scale and include the cone. Yarn is priced about $10/lb - a GREAT price for wool!

Will sell all 16 cones (about 28 lbs of yarn) for $230, which includes shipping (USPS Parcel Post or UPS Ground).

Brown & Tan Yarn

BROWN A: Wool, single ply, spun with a combination of two natural colors of wool, brown and white. 1 lb 12 oz, $15.

BROWN B: Brown and white double two ply yarn. I don't know if this is correct terminology! Brown & white are plied together, then TWO of these are plied to create the 4-ply yarn. The white is very loopy. No label on cone. 1 lb 4 oz, $10.

SAND A: Two ply, tan wool spun with a VERY thin white cord. 1 lb 7 oz, $10.

SAND B: Very very fine yarn. Info on label Janine 19.000. 65% Acrilico, 15% Alpaca, 15% Poliamide, 5% lana. IGEA. 1 lb, 12 oz - $15.

TWEED B: Wool Blend. Huge cone of yarn! Three ply yarn - one tan, one not-quite-white, and a very fine poly cord. Label info Thomas Hodgson & Sons, Inc, Suncook, NH. Style MW1408 -5. Yds 800. 3 lb, 5 oz, $30.

Blue Yarn

BLUE B: Beautiful Dark Blue yarn. Great texture. Made in France. 57% Acrylic, 29% Laine, 14% Polyester. 1 lb 10 oz, $15.

BLUE C: Two ply - blue strand with multi-colored strand (pink, yellow, blue). No label,it is a wool blend. 2 lb 5 oz, $20.

BLUE D: Small cone, light turquoise. The photo is washed out - the color is much stronger. St Andre Spinning Inc. 1 lb 2 oz, $10.

TEAL B: ART:Monte Blanco, TIT: 1/11, COL: 21, Turido Torracchi. Made in Italy. Very, very fine yarn, single ply, 100% wool. Color in photo is not accurate - it is much more a green-blue. 1 lb, 8 oz for $10.

Gray Yarn

GRAY A: Beautiful! Gray yarn with softly colored slubs throughout length. Info from label: 40% wool, 45% Acrylic, 15% Poly. Made in Italy. Art = NADIA. Color = Carta Zucch. Bagno = 3678. Titolo = 11 800. 2 lb 6 oz, $25.

GRAY B: Two ply - one brown (gray?), one off-white. No label inside cone. Wool. 2 lb, 13 oz for $25.

Red/Pink/Purple Yarn

CORAL A: Coral wool plied with very fine white poly cord. Color # 5 RUST. 7 oz - $5.

RED B: Brick red color, loopy texture. Info from label Ref 8013A, NM 4, Made In France, 57% Acrylique, 29% Laine, 14% Polyester. 1 lb 13 oz, $15.

PINK B: Filature by Saint Andre, Made In France. Two ply - one strand fuchsia, one strand lighter pink. 1 lb 10 oz, $15.

PURPLE B: no label. Reddish-purple with white fuzzies. 1 lb 8 oz, $15.

White Yarn
